Partnership

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

An African proverb says, “If a person dreams alone, it remains nothing but a dream. But when a people dream together, that dream can become a reality.

Also, an ancient quote, says "some people come into our lives, make footprints on our hearts and we are never the same." This old proverb delves into the psyche of a true necessity of the human soul…relationship and fellowship.

According to Uganda Children Burden Centre, Partnership is the mutual benefit of a natural and spiritual connection between two or more individuals who share mutual cooperation and responsibility among themselves.

At Uganda Children Burden Centre, We work together towards one common goal of transforming individuals and communities by bringing our resources and skills together. During the process of our work, we build a relationship/partnership; hence, “Together Making a Difference in Society” with a vision to holistically empower and transform communities.

Therefore, the purpose for the Uganda Children Burden Centre partnership is varied, ranging from care for the HIV/AIDS infected and affected, the orphans, elderly, widows, the poor, to community care, economic empowerment and leadership development.

Our expectation concerning our partners

Become a Corporate Partner and create more visibility for your business in the community, while ensuring the success of the Foundation's annual events. Partners have unique opportunities to network with other community leaders, distribute promotional material at Foundation events, and enjoy various other PR benefits.

We expect to receive prayer support/financial gifts/donations, and actual involvement where possible from our Partners/for those who are interested in donor trips. We commit ourselves to consistently keep our partners well informed and updated.

Partners - Regular Giving

For any charity to make a real impact to poverty, they need people who are willing to be committed to the cause and who will support regularly.

A Uganda Children's Burden Centre partner is someone who understands the needs of children in Africa and has chosen to make a difference by giving on a regular basis towards our ongoing projects. These include building schools, opening up children's clinics, orphanage construction, water wells and the rehabilitation of street children to name but a few. To date we have been able to impact thousands of childrens' lives through the provision of accessible education, clean water and medical care. We can only do this with help from people like you.

We are looking for individuals or groups who will give a monthly donation to our work. It doesn't need to be a large amount but we ask for a minimum of £5 per month to become a Partner. This is just 17p a day. Alternatively you can choose to give quarterly or annually as suits your financial situation.

£5 is approximately: € 6, US $8, CAN $9, AUS $10

Meanwhile others can organise runs, marathons, walks, dinners, to mention but a few, other fundraising events.
