Mobilisation and Sensitisation of Children and youth groups

Mobilisation and Sensitisation of youth groups The activity was seriously embarked on after registration of the organization and is still on going. The activity was funded through member contributions, small income generated from the bakery and was intended to create awareness among local communities particularly the youth about the organization and it’s objectives. The activity also aimed at identifying young people and engaging them in identification and formulation of community projects for their benefits.

Through community outreaches, UCBC members have mobilized and sensitized over 50 families and encouraged them to go for voluntary counselling and testing (VCT), adherence on antiviral therapy (ARVs), PMTCT knowledge among women and how to cope up with stigma and discrimination and other related illnesses in adolescent health.

Blood donation campaign has been organised by UCBC members and more than seventy units of blood have been collected to save lives of these children when they are sick.
